The hotel and its employees are committed with the guests, suppliers, and visitors to provide an environment of cordiality, honesty, and quality, as well as the sustainability of its products and facilities for a common benefit, complying with the legal dispositions and standards that the sector demands in friendly, sustainable, economic, socio-cultural, and environmental conditions.

Our main focus is to provide services and security of quality, trying to decrease the impact that affects the culture and the environment in the area where we operate. Constantly, we are creating awareness in such as our personnel, guests, and clients that accompany us day by day to continue with the sustainability policies and equitable development in all the strategic hotel aspects.

Sustainability is the most important aspect that allows tourism to be the main focus of economic investment in the country, therefore, we search the integration of the values and principles associated with sustainable development in three basics pillars, which are:

  • To carry out environmental management is adequate to our organization's reality and to our activities and services, aiming to improve our management from a sustainability perspective.
  • To provide continuous and adequate training to our staff to enhance their involvement and qualifications with respect to the environment.
  • To encourage contractors and suppliers in the fulfillment of our environmental policy.
  • To continuously improve our environmental performance and evaluate it periodically, thus achieving the environmental enhancement of our organization.
  • To comply with all requirements established by current environmental legislation, specific legal requirements applicable to the sector, voluntary requirements, and other demands from third parties.
  • To evaluate the environmental aspects associated with our activities, indicating, and implementing appropriate measures to maximize benefits and prevent, minimize, or correct risks.
  • To apply the basic principle of pollution prevention from planning and decision evaluation.
  • To practice the sustainable use of natural resources and raw materials, as well as to promote energy efficiency and implement practices of waste reuse and recycling generated by our activity.
  • To provide environmental information about our activities and disseminate our Environmental Policy to employees, clients, and guests, ensuring its update and suitability.
  • To implement, document, and maintain this policy as a framework for establishing our Environmental Management Program through corresponding objectives and targets.
  • We respect and support the law (National Code of Conduct) against sexual exploitation, pornography, and sexual tourism involving children and adolescents.
  • We do not promote child labor.
  • We respect ethnic and gender equality and reflect this in our hiring practices (Inclusive Company, Gilberto Rincón Gallardo).
  • Generation of quality standards to ensure the quality of our services.
  • Ongoing training for our staff in service, quality, and environmental care, and conservation.

  • We do not support sales, trafficking, or exhibition of pieces or archaeological objects considered cultural heritage.
  • We respect and support autochthonous cultures and customs.
  • We support the commercial development of small businesses, micro-businesses, and responsible suppliers.
  • We prioritize internal promotion before initiating a recruitment process with external personnel.

  • We focus our efforts on the implementation of ecologically sustainable standards and practices that guarantee good service, thus committing ourselves to the protection of the environment.
  • We adopt measures for the sustainable use of water and energy.
  • We use biodegradable hygiene and cleaning products.
  • We are taking actions to reduce the amount of waste generated and promote the reuse, recycling, and proper disposal of our waste.
  • We are taking actions to reduce the purchase of individual packaging and the use of disposable containers that cannot be recycled or reused.
  • We promote the non-use of plastic straws among our customers and guests
  • We have an automation system to save energy in our rooms.

With the objective of reducing our environmental impact, Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences has implemented the following measures in its management:

Energy and water:
  • LED and low-consumption luminaries
  • Luminaries’ sensors in common areas
  • Partial flushing water of WC
Purchases:
  • Local suppliers
  • Enhanced the consumption of natural, fresh, and seasonal products.
  • In bulk, we avoid portion purchases and excessive packaging.
Equipment:
  • Installation of solar panels that contributes to lighting fixtures (Light poles)
  • Installation of gel and shampoo dispensers in guest bathrooms (public areas), avoiding the generation of individual containers.
Waste:
  • Segregation and control of solid and organic waste.
  • Separation and donation of cooking oil for reuse.
  • Reduction of computers and printer centralization materials
Intern transportation:
  • Use of electric Golf Carts instead of gasoline, and thus decrease the CO2 emissions.
